Water Meters – Each house at South Pointe has 2 water meters. One records the amount of water your house uses and you are billed quarterly for that amount. The other meter records the water used to supply water to our irrigation system. Because the water pressure from the main pipe from Spear Street supplying water to South Pointe is not strong enough to feed our irrigation system directly a pipe from each house feeds into the irrigation system. If there is a break in the irrigation system itself, such as a sprinkler head being hit by a lawn mower, the only way to shut off the water to the irrigation system is to turn off each feed from each of the 35 homes. The picture shows the meter in the “ON” position. If you are asked to turn it off, raise the yellow handle to the horizontal position.
